Who is this course for?

The course is designed to provide candidates with an understanding of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018. * The City & Guilds recommended 35 guided learning hours have NOT been followed as this course has been designed specifically for candidates with previous 17th Edition qualifications, namely either 2382-10 (Red Book BS7671:2008) or 2382-12 Green Book Amendment No.1 certification only. Thus enabling candidates with some 17th edition knowledge (albeit outdated!) with a cost effective route to recertification for BS7671:2018. . It is NOT recommended for candidates who plan higher level study with us such as City & Guilds 2391-50, 2391-51, 2391-52Inspection & Testing or City & Guilds 2396-01 Design & Verification courses.

Course description

It is suitable for practising electricians and anyone involved in design, supervision or electrical specifications who holds the prerequisite City & Guilds 17th Edition qualification stated above.

Assessment

A two hour online examination is required to complete the programme on the final afternoon of the course. A copy of BS7671:2018 is permitted reference materials during the assessment.

Materials Required

Morris Services Ltd will provide comprehensive learner materials for the course, but please ensure for obtain a copy of BS7671:2018 IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations & an On Site Guide prior to attending the course.

These publications can be ordered from the IET website, amazon, bookshops or electrical wholesalers locally. All candidates are required to bring along a non programmable scientific calculator and standard stationary.

City & Guilds 2382-10 BS7671:2008 (Red Book) or:-

City & Guilds 2382-12 BS7671:2008 (2011) (Green Book).

Progression

This course is NOT designed to support higher level study, but to enable a fast track route to 18th Edition BS7671;2018 certification. Those who don't meet the prerequisites stated above are advised to consider our full guided learning hours option delivered over six Tuesday's 09.00 - 17.00.
