Who is this course for?

Candidates who have already fully completed both:-

1 .City & Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Building & Structures) and,
2. City & Guilds 2365-03 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Building & Structures)

And, who have now secured employment in the electrical sector with the ability to demonstrate the practical performance criteria of the qualification and the industry requirements for becoming an electrician through this well respected NVQ level 3 programme.

Course description

The programme is NOT a conventional classroom based course! It's carried out in this workplace with the candidate recording their practical competency in the City & Guilds workplace log book across several units with direct assessor observations/expert witness testimony and other assessment techniques. The candidates ability to undertake this programme will be assessed formally through a 'skills scan' and induction interview prior to the center's acceptable. So that it's feasible for the candidate to demonstrate fully the practical performance requirements from the identified work place environments etc.

Key Changes:
PLEASE NOTE A QUALIFIED ASSESSOR FROM OUR CENTRE WILL CONDUCT AT LEAST ONE SITE (FACE TO FACE) DIRECT OBSERVATION IN THE WORKPLACE WITH ADDITIONAL ONES LIVE STREAMED IF NECESSARY WHEN WORKING OUTSIDE THE BRISTOL AREA!

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS REMAINS:-
Additional Evidence: There is no change to the other forms of evidence, such as reflective accounts, work plans, work-based products, and witness testimony. These will continue to be accepted.
ALL DIRECT ASSESSOR OBSERVATIONS & ADDITIONAL LIVE STREAMED SESSIONS WILL BE RECORDED AND HELD FOR INTERNAL VERIFICATION/QUALITY ASSURANCE PROCEDURES ALONG WITH EQA MONITORING ETC.

 

Materials Required

The centre will provide the City & Guilds On Site Performance Log Book, direct observations and tutorial/assessor sessions to support completion.

Entry Requirements

Candidates who have already fully completed both:-

1 .City & Guilds 2365-02 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Building & Structures) and,
2. City & Guilds 2365-03 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (Building & Structures)

Recommended:-
3. City & Guilds 2382-22 Level 3 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
4. City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Initial & Periodic Inspection & Testing

And, who are now secured employment in the electrical sector with the ability to demonstrate the practical performance criteria of the qualification and the industry requirements for becoming an electrician through this well respected NVQ level 3 programme.
