Domestic Electrical Training for City & Guilds Qualifications

You will obtain the following City & Guilds Qualifications which provide essential competencies to be demonstrated to the CPS operators assessor when applying for self certification status to operate as a registered Part P domestic installer :

City & Guilds 2382-18 - Level 3 in the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018

City & Guilds 2393-10 - Level 3 Part P of the Building Regulations.

Who is this course for?

Who can take this City & Guilds Part P Competencies Programme in Domestic Electrical Training?

This 12 Day City & Guilds Programme is designed for those wishing to pursue careers as registered Part P Domestic Installers through a self certification body.

Students can only take this domestic electrical training course with previous electrical knowledge and practical skills gained from prior experience. It enables them to demonstrate the published essential competencies from the CPS operators (NICEIC, ELECSA, NAPIT, STROMA or Benchmark Certification) when undertaking the assessment to register as a domestic Part P installer.

Each CPS (Competent Person Scheme) operator will require their own assessment to assess the applicant practically on site against their own criteria (compliance with the latest edition of BS7671, Building Regulations & inspection & Testing Procedures, etc). As an independent and impartial City & Guilds approved training centre we cannot advise candidates on the individual merits of particular CPS operators.

Our City & Guilds Domestic Electrical Training Course supersedes City & Guilds level 3 Certificate in Installing, Testing & Ensuring Compliance of Electrical Installations in Dwellings (2397-30). It's no longer possible for new domestic electrical training entrants to follow the 'Qualification Route' under the existing IET Minimum Technical Competency Requirements through "Route 1" of the framework document with City & Guilds. Therefore, until such time as the IET review and publish any amended documentation and the awarding body develops a substitute qualification, we are advising new entrants to consider our alternative which we believe reflects a wide and comprehensive range of learning outcomes required for any domestic electrical installer operating through a CPS under Approved Document P of the Building Regulations and BS7671. so book your domestic electrical training course online today with Morris Services – the leading independent City & Guilds approved training centre for domestic electricians.
